The Flood District plans to follow up on maintenance work started last summer by repairing the backyard Timber Reinforced Berm (TRB) at one property, with work scheduled to begin in late summer 2025. Last year, we removed a large tree that was threatening to damage the berm during a major wind event — if the tree had fallen, it could have pulled up the roots and the berm along with it. This year, we are making repairs to strengthen the berm across the entire property. The District has solicited bids from contractors for this round of work and expects to award the contract later this spring.
